5 Fantastic Book Deals for a September Weekend
I just got back from L.A. late last night and all I want today is to sleep in and then read in bed for a while!
Here are some of my favorite book deals going on right now.

Uglies by Scott Westerfeld – audiobook – $3.29
Bart and I both loved this YA series that is about two decades old, (in fact, Tally’s blog name is because of this book – Bart was gunning to name her that for real, but I had to draw the line somewhere).

Zero Days by Ruth Ware – ebook – $2.99
Ruth Ware was SUCH a fun addition to my reading life this past year. I’d heard about her for years but never picked up one of her books until this summer and then I blazed through four or five of her books this year. I don’t typically read a lot of mystery/thrillers but this one, about a husband and wife team who test digital and physical security for companies and then have a job go VERY wrong, was so fun.

Nancy Drew: The Mystery at Lilac Inn (Book 4) by Carolyn Keene – ebook – $1.99
I remember my mom buying this beloved book series for a quarter apiece from some neighbors and I spent the summer reading dozens of them. And now my daughters love them too! All books in the series stand alone, so you can read them in any order. This one is currently on sale under $2!

The Killer Angels: The Classic Novel of the Civil War by Michael Shaara – ebook – $1.99
It’s the 50th anniversary of this Pulitzer Prize winning book. It tells the unforgettable story of the Battle of Gettysburg during the Civil War, where two armies clashed on the fields of Pennsylvania.

Princess Academy by Shannon Hale – ebook – $2.99
I read this book on paper, then Bart and I listened to it when we moved to Boston and had days of driving a U-Haul together, and the girls and I listened to it in the car together too. Don’t let the title fool you – this book isn’t just for girls. It is great for all ages, boys and girls alike – with as much adventure and intrigue as you could hope for. (Full review here)
