Shoes – Pretend You Care

I mentioned that I came home from Vegas with new shoes. And they need to be photographed and shared. Also, I lied about being able to fit them all in my suitcase – Bart did have to take one pair, which I’m sure he was thrilled about when his bag got searched during security (“Why yes, sir, I do know how these shoes got in my bag.”)

Anyway, here is pair number one. These were a birthday gift from my Mom.

Pair number two, from the store of Mom’s closet. I do not like these shoes without feet in them. They look kind of frumpy, I think. On your feet, though, they are pretty awesome.

Also, these shoes are shockingly comfortable.

These are the ones Bart had in his suitcase – they look like him, no? My younger sister left these for me since they were a wee bit small for her and I have the smallest feet in the family (my mom and my sisters and I all have shoe sizes within about 1 size of each other. This rocks). Other shoes from the Store of Mom’s Closet. I’m wearing these ones right now. They are also very comfortable (and of course, comfortable when referring to high heels means “all skin that was on my feet when I got out bed is still on my feet now” not “I could run a marathon in these shoes” (of course, I couldn’t run a marathon at all, except maybe in shoes that had a motor on them and I could just stand there and be rolled along for 26 miles, but still. . . )).

Look, leapord print. Awesome.

I asked Bart a few weeks ago what he thought of a certain pair of shoes in a catalog. He said he thought they were fine, but really he preferred high heels to anything else. So I am doing my best to oblige. Plus, I’ve found I love being a few inches taller. Also, I think this means I have unlimited funds to now go buy shoes, right? Wasn’t that what he meant?

  1. Wow. I need to work on caring more about my own wardrobe. I don’t own a single pair of high heels, and I cannot remember the last time I paid money for shoes. Definitely it is fun to see your Vegas spoils!

  2. Can I just say that I absolutely love that you blog about shoes? That makes me so happy.

Those shoes are all really hot, by the way.

  3. I love all of your new shoes!!! What a lucky girl. We should get a bunch of shoe loving girls together, and all go to NYC to spend a week at the new saks shoe store. I am sure a week should be long enough to get what we need.

  4. I love the first ones! I would wear those in a second. As for the super pointy high heels, I have a hard time believing I could walk to the car in them let alone run any sort of race.

  5. I’ve STILL got it! (considering I picked and purchased the polka dot dream shoes for Landen — just got the size wrong).

  6. Yeah, I think it does mean you get to spend on shoes. Jared told me how much he liked ballerina slippers, sooooo I bought three! 🙂

  7. I LOVE the first pair. I’ve seen all the other pairs since they’re from the store of Mom’s closet, and I still love them but oh how I love that first pair. So awesome.

    Time to go shoe shopping!

  8. oooooh!!! those are hott, hot with 2 ‘t’s. I love the polka-dotty ones and the leopard-y ones, so so fun!
