Lazy

Do you sometimes feel like your laziness is rewarded?

Last Sunday, for example, I thought several times about how I should definitely water my plants outside because they hadn’t been watered since Monday. But, eh, I never did. And then it rained for a couple of hours. Brilliant.

Also, our lawn is dying because it’s been so hot and dry and Bart and I keep talking about watering it. But then, it poured for about an hour today. Good thing we didn’t water it over the weekend.

I think I’m going to try this with the dishes. . . .

  1. Haha… love this post. You are totally hilarious, Janssen! I like Bart’s input as well. I’ve definitely tried that with the dishes and it has yet to work… unless you count Aaron doing them as a reward for my laziness. 🙂

  2. As usual, I’m late responding.

Sorry, but the only way out of doing the dishes is to throw them away.

Here’s a trick I discovered after the dishwasher died: Wash the big and/or greasy grimey stuff first, dry them, and put them away. Then, washing the plates, glasses, and utensils is a snap.

(This is completely backwards of what I was taught, but most of us don’t have to pack in the water and/or heat it on the stove anymore.)
