4 Favorite Things for October (+ My Team's Picks!)

I can’t believe October is coming to a close!

We just got back from our fall break trip to Croatia (with a quick stop in London!) and it was the best trip.

Now it’s full steam ahead for Halloween next week!

Here are some of the things I’m loving this month:

Mini Sound Machine
I bought two of these for our trip and every single day I congratulated myself on them! They are so tiny, run for 16+ hours on a single charge and have tons of sound options. We used ours every night and now I need to buy 2-3 more so we always have one for every room when we travel. These would be the best stocking stuffer or small gift for someone in your life who loves travel or has small children! (I shared this on my trip and they’ve been the #1 most popular item I’ve shared for the whole month!).

Cloud 9 Lip Serum
I’m a long time fan of Babe Original – their lash serum is unbeatable and the 4Real Mascara is insanely good at a reasonable price point. They recently released this lip serum and as someone with endlessly dry lips, I was eager to try it out. I LOVE this stuff and I REALLY love that it doesn’t give me white lines around my lips which happens with most lip products for me. My code JANSSEN works site wide.

Boxy Tee
I actually learned about this tee from Analese who recommended it in a favorite things post months ago and I noticed a few weeks ago it was on clearance for under $7. I ordered one and have been wearing it non-stop since then! It comes in a bunch of colors, fits true to size, isn’t sheer and has a great flattering shape. I’m a huge fan!

AO2
I mentioned this a few weeks ago in my Instagram stories but this has been MAGIC for my teen daughter’s acne. The science behind it is super cool and I didn’t even know my teen daughter was using it (I’d gotten a sample pack of it) until she asked if I could order her a refill. Her breakouts disappeared within a week or two of starting to use it and after a month or so, my 11 year old daughter, who is just starting to get some acne, picked it up too and has seen similarly excellent results. You wash with a normal cleanser, apply the AO2 and then finish with moisturizer (I’ve linked the ones my girls use). My AO2 code is JANSSEN.

Home Tasker Cleaning App
My friend introduced me to this app to set up a cleaning schedule and keep track of what I complete and I’ve been loving it! I’m currently using the free version and find it very user friendly and all that I need for now. You can set up tasks per room, a schedule for how frequently you want the task done and it tells you the cleaning history of a task. No more guessing when the last time I changed my kids sheets, because it always feels like I just did it even when it’s been a couple of weeks. This has really helped me keep track of my daily and deeper cleaning and made my life a lot easier!

Extra Long Medicine Syringes
After a solid two months in school, we finally got hit with our first illness. I bought these long medicine syringes because I never seem to be able reach the bottom of our larger liquid medicine bottles. Now I don’t have to deal with sticky fingers or using multiple containers to get the last drops of the medicine out. It works great for our preschooler, and it comes in a 3 pack!

Bug Bite Thing
If there is a mosquito in the vicinity it will find me. We went on several hikes while we were in Hawaii a couple of weeks ago and I got so many mosquito bites. I ordered this on the plane ride home and used it immediately. It uses suction to help the itch go away and it really works!

Oversized Cropped Workout Tee
I’m more comfortable exercising (and more likely to do it) if I feel good in what I’m wearing, so I’ve been trying to expand my workout wardrobe this year. Last month I got this workout tee and have been loving it, especially paired with these super soft high-rise leggings.
