I have my own favorite set of hobbies (puzzles + audiobooks forever!) and I asked for other suggestions too!

Frankly, I’m no great lover of Amazon Kids+ and while I don’t mind my kids using it when it is free with a new Kindle, I’m CERTAINLY not going to pay for it after that free year expires.

(I might feel differently if we didn’t have a library with a great ebook collection on Libby, Audible subscriptions for both Bart and me, and a Kindle Unlimited subscription).

As a lifelong library user (and someone who is running out of bookshelf space!), I’m almost always going to choose a library book if it’s available.

And the Library Extension (which works on Chrome and Firefox) makes it super easy for me to know if my library has a book!

One of my favorite tricks for getting enough sleep is getting in my pajamas EARLY (usually when my kids are getting ready for bed) so that I don’t find myself too tired to get ready for bed when it’s time to actually get in bed.

And it works for my kids too!

They don’t love getting in pajamas when it’s time to jump right in bed, but if they know as soon as they’re ready for bed, they can play for 45-60 minutes, they’re much more willing!

Sometimes it’s nice to have everything in one.

And sometimes it is really nice to have something designed for exactly that job.

For me, when reading is a big priority for me, it makes sense to have a device that is purpose-built to be as good for that activity as possible, rather than an after-thought app add-on.
