What I’m Going to Read: Round 17
I know, you probably all thought I forgot. My memory is still sharp and young; my laziness, tragically, is also sharp. Besides, I’ve been very busy watching Friday Night Lights. Anyway, the winner this month is Nine Coaches Waiting by Mary Stewart, suggested by Emily.
It’s checked in at my library, so I’ll be retrieving it tonight. I might even FINISH it this month. I know you would be shocked. (I continue to plug away at Cutting for Stone which, now that I’m 300 pages in, is picking up. Kayla’s raves about it didn’t hurt either).

I'd say don't bother to finish reading Austenland or The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time.
Hmmm, "Nine Coaches Waiting". I've never heard of it but I'll definitely look into it. I'm always on the lookout for new books.
I do have to agree with Mom, "Juliet" was a really great historical fiction read. Loved it!
Currently I'm attempting to meet my 100 books in 2010 goal. I thought I had it made, then life/baking/crafting/family stuff happened and I got behind. I'll add "Nine Coaches Waiting" and "The Thief" to my 2011 list of books to read.
Are you catching up on previous seasons of FNL? I love and adore it and hope you do too. It's one of those shows that gets better every year and it's just so heartfelt. I'll be sad when it's over next year. Oh and Tim Riggins? Hubba hubba. Speaking of books, my 72 year old mom has now read (and loved) all of Sarah Dessen's books but I still have 3 to go. No time in my life to read at this point…can't wait until the holiday break. P.S. re: the card you sent? Love, love, love the signature. 😉
I read Nine Coaches Waiting and found it surprisingly enjoyable. It wasn't my usual style, but once I got into the rhythm of it, I really adored it. Have fun!
Interesting you didn't finish Life of Pi. That's one that is also on my unfinished shelf…I don't know that it will ever come off either.
I so have to read this! Loved Touch Not the Cat and Moon Spinners. (The book is better than the movie!)
