Titles are Overrated: A Six Paragraph Essay on my Day

I keep saying outloud “It’s only Friday!” I can’t believe that I still have two whole days of weekend ahead of me. I love the holidays.

I went into work for about an hour today (I could definitely get used to working one hour a day) and came home to find Bart putting up the tree. He’s a keeper.

We put up our Christmas decorations and then went to see The Bourne Ultimatium. For some reason, I really didn’t want to go, but Bart did, and I ended up enjoying it a great deal.

Then, at Bart’s suggestion, we went shopping and bought some Christmas presents. One of the stops was at Williams-Sonoma; I adore that store. It just feels like Christmas walking in there. Also, they were passing out samples of this pumpkin cake/crumble cheesecake something that was so delicious Bart and I had about five samples each (the guy handing them out said we could have as many as we wanted – we aren’t total gluttons).

After we came back home, I went out shopping again and convinced the lady at Kohl’s to let me use the $10 giftcard I’d received in the mail that expired last Friday (this is the third such giftcard I’ve received from Kohl’s. I don’t know how I got on the list, but it is fantastic, and I hope they keep coming. I love free money).

Now I’m lying in bed feeling totally sick. The end.

  1. Do you think you are sick from the samples or from my turkey? My paranoia will not go away until at least next year. . .at which point I will pass the mantle of turkey cooker to someone else, I can’t handle the stress ! 🙂

  2. i LOVE Williams-Sanoma too. What a great analogy, ‘it feels like Christmas is walking in there’…you could NOT have said it better!

  3. Janssen- Loved the story about the waivers! I’m going to try that next week when I try to replace my phone! If you loved that dessert at W-S, you should ask Noelle for her sister’s recipe for Pumpkin Cheesecake. They made it for Thanksgiving and Noelle said it was “to die for”!!
