Christmas Is Leaving
It’s hard to know what to say after Christmas. I no longer feel the acute sense of disappointment I felt as a child, but it is a strange feeling even now to have the day you’ve looked forward to for weeks is over – just like that – and to go back to normal life.
I got a lot of lovely things – thanks to my parents and my darling little brother – and we had a fantastic breakfast of crepes, filled with bananas and strawberry syrup, thanks to Landen. We went to see Bedtime Stories which amused me to no end. And we had a shepherd’s meal that evening of cheese fondue with many tasty things to dip into the fondue. It was a lovely day.
And two of my favorite gifts this year:
It’s amazing how much build up we have until Christmas and then like that POOF it is done!! But I love the fact that it comes around again.
I love the cake platter! I think I would love the whole set 🙂
Merry Christmas Janssen!
I love those dishes!
The best years are ahead of you when you have young children all excited and happy. You give them a plastic saw and they’re all excited!
darling pattern! It totally makes me want to bake a pretty cake to put on the platter.
I’d really love some crepes.
Those dishes are adorable!
I totally agree with you, about how the build-up isn’t as great as it once was. Maybe it will be more fun as a parent, to see how excited your children get about Christmas, so that is something to look forward to!
how cute are those dishes!? wow!
i so love reading your blog.
Ohh lovely finds!
can’t wait to see a picture of a cake on that platter, it’s adorable!
