4 Books I’m Currently Reading (+ my team’s picks!)

It took me a bit to find my reading groove this month (I don’t think I finished any books in the first ten days of March!), but now I’m reading some really great things!

Here are the books I’m enjoying right now!

4 books I’m currently reading

This Story Might Save Your Life by Tiffany Crum
This book has been everywhere since it came out earlier this month and I’m listening to the audio version which is dual narrated (with the beloved Julia Whelan as the female voice!). This is a best friend duo – Joy and Benny – who do a crazy popular podcast together. And then one day, Joy and her husband are missing, leaving behind broken glass and lots of questions. Benny is, unsurprisingly, the prime suspect. As the story jumps between Benny’s frantic search for the truth, clips from their podcast, and Joy’s unpublished memoir, more questions than answers come up and the clock is ticking. I think this one is definitely one to do as an audiobook!

It’s More Fun to Believe: Finding God When Faith Gets Complicated by Julie Taylor
I’ve loved Julie Taylor for years (I met her an event a few years ago and said “you don’t know me, but I’m a huge fan”) and I’m so thrilled her book is out in the world. I went to the launch party for it earlier this week – it was conveniently held at my local library – and I came home and jumped right into her book!

Dolly All the Time by Annabel Monaghan
I’m a big fan of Annabel Monaghan – several of her books have appeared on past Summer Reading Guides – and I was delighted to get an advance copy of her newest romance. We’ll see if this one makes the cut for this year’s Summer Reading Guide!

The Family Dynamic: A Journey into the Mystery of Sibling Success by Susan Dominus
I picked this book up before bedtime a few weeks ago and can’t stop thinking about it! The author has always been fascinated by the Bronte sisters who all were so incredibly talented and that led her down a path of researching families where multiple children do big, incredible things (whether in sports, business, literature, medicine, or other fields!). I’m very into this one.

and here’s what my team is reading!

Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
I never seemed to have the time when this would come up on my holds, so I bit the bullet and bought it on Audible. I thought it would be fun to have my husband listen too and then go see the movie together. We are both still working our way through it, but WOW!! Why is the audio so good?! I can’t explain it, just trust me and all of Everyday Reading followers who voted it as one of the best audiobooks of 2024. The story is full of science, but also so many laugh out loud moments and suspense. I can’t wait to finish it.

Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
Sorry to be redundant here, but I am also reading Project Hail Mary! Actually, I just finished it yesterday and wow, so good! I started listening to it, but then I got impatient so I also bought a Kindle copy so I could get through it faster. I’m not a huge science fiction lover, but this was an exception. It captured my attention from the first chapter. My husband is also reading it and we are so excited to go see the movie together this weekend!

Best Offer Wins by Marisa Kashino
We bought our house during COVID when the housing market was absolutely cutthroat, so this story felt very relatable. It follows Margo and her husband as they fight to buy a home in a coveted D.C. neighborhood and start a family, but after losing bid after bid, Margo becomes willing to do absolutely anything to finally get her dream house.

I’d love to hear what you’re reading right now!
