Everyday Reading Book Club – February 2020
Happy February!
I had the BEST time reading Laura Vanderkam’s 168 Hours: You Have More Time Than You Think with so many of you last month (if you missed it, I’ve saved all the discussions in my Instagram highlights!)
Thank you for all your insights, comments, and notes – I love this book club so much.
Now we’re ready for our February title, Bryan Stevenson’s incredible book, Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption.
I read it just over a year ago and it was, no exaggeration, a life-changing read. I’m currently re-reading it in preparation for our discussion this month and so glad to have a chance to revisit it.
Each Wednesday, starting next week, I’ll be chatting about one section of the book on InstaStories and then saving them all to a highlight so you can visit them whenever you’re ready.
Here’s what the February reading/discussion schedule looks like:
- Feb 5:Â Introduction and Chapters 1-4 (pages 3 – 91)
- Feb 12:Â Chapter 5 – 8 (pages 92 – 162)
- Feb 19:Â Chapters 9 – 12 (pages 163 – 241)
- Feb 26:Â Chapters 13 -16, Epilogue and Postscript (242 – 316)
Grab a copy from the library or the bookstore (you can read my review of it here if you’d like a little peek at what you’re getting yourself into!) and get ready to dive in.
Also, I’m giving away two copies of it on Instagram this weekend, if you’d like to enter!
I’m so delighted that you’re part of the Everyday Reading Book Club!
Happy reading,
Janssen
P.S. If you want to get the details each month about the book, sign up for the book club emails in this post!
