2026 Summer Reading Guide: Terrific Non-Fiction
I love non-fiction but I still want it to be just as engaging as any novel. These will do just that!

Unreasonable Hospitality: The Remarkable Power of Giving People More Than They Expect by Will Guidara
I can’t remember who recommended this one to me, but I’m so glad they did! I loved it so much I was recapping it to my husband every night. It is one of those books that I feel like actually works great as a parenting and relationship book as much as a business book! Plus it’s so readable – I was hooked from the first page!

The Comfort Crisis by Michael Easter
Journalist Michael Easter explores the idea that our overly comfortable lives may be harming our physical and mental health. Through his own experiments and conversations with experts, he makes a compelling case for why we may need more challenge. This gave me so much to think about both for myself and for my kids!

Minimalista: Your Step-by-Step Guide to a Better Home, Wardrobe, and Life by Shira Gill
If your ideal nonfiction read is packed with as many gorgeous photos as words, this one’s for you! I brought this one out to the porch for a relaxing read…and 10 pages later, I was deep into cleaning out drawers and tackling my bathroom counter. This book doesn’t just inspire, it sends you straight into organizing mode.

Class Clown: The Memoirs of a Professional Wiseass—How I Went 77 Years Without Growing Up by Dave Barry
I grew up reading Dave Barry’s humor columns (my parents are big fans) and this book was such a fun throwback for me and made me snort out loud multiple times. I kept having to read passages to my husband because it was just too funny to keep to myself. (Pull out for Big Dumb Eyes as another humor/comedian book – this is one we listened to as a family on a road trip!)
