This bead kit is an even BETTER deal than last year 🎉🎉🎉

I don’t want anyone to miss it and Amazon changes prices without warning, so if you want one (or more than one!) grab it now before the price goes up.

3600 beads for $3.49 is a STEAL (don’t forget to click the extra coupon to get that price).

When Ella started glittering the covers of her books, I knew it was a perfect book club activity!

Comment with the word GLITTER for all the supplies plus I’ll send you my full post with ideas for book clubs for kids this summer!
Two summers ago, as we were getting ready to start Two summers ago, as we were getting ready to start our evening read-aloud, I thought, “Why are we inside when it is so beautiful outdoors?” #randomhousekidspartner

I suggested that everyone get ready for bed, grab a coloring book or puzzle and come out to the deck.

It was such a hit that we’ve done it ever since and my kids look forward to it all year long! I especially love it when we turn on our string lights and it feels like summer evening perfection! We usually end up reading WAY longer than I intended because it is just so cozy and fun!

And, of course, a read aloud is only as good as the book!

The Eyes and the Impossible by @iam_daveeggers with illustrations by @shawnharri5 was a hit when I read it to my four kids last year after it won the Newbery. I’m so happy it is now available in paperback from @randomhousekids (and I love that shiny gold Newbery sticker on the front!).

Have you read this one?

Like so many things in life, the way we’ve celeb Like so many things in life, the way we’ve celebrated the end of the school year has shifted over the years.

For a while, we went to get soft serve cones on the last day of school.

Then, for several years in a row, we went down to Las Vegas to kick off summer with my parents and my sister @merricksart and her boys with lots of swimming and s’mores.

Last year, we switched to doing a little weekend adventure as a family.

And probably in a few years, we’ll change it up again!

I’d love to hear how you celebrate the end of the school year!

I assume there are some people in the world who b I assume there are some people in the world who buy a bag and don’t think about how many books they can fit in it or what size of Kindle it can handle.

But I am definitely NOT that person.

This bag can handle any book I throw at it AND still have room for my Paperwhite Kindle!
What more could I ask for?
