Autumn

Yesterday, for the first time, there was just a hint of crispness in the air. Not much, but some.

For the first time this summer, it doesn’t seem ludicrous to be wearing a long sleeve shirt. I went walking outside and wore a sweatshirt the entire time. I considered the possibility of eating mashed potatoes with dinner (Bart would protest that the weather has nothing to do with eating mashed potatoes for dinner – I think he’d be happy to eat them when it’s 110 degrees outside). My AC has not yet turned on today.

And for the first time in her life, Ella wore feety pajamas. I think she liked them almost as much as I do.

One of the things I'm excited about for our winter baby is getting to dress him in teeny tiny feetie pajamas right from the start. OMG. She is so cute!

Ella looks so happy. Sweatshirt! You'd be freezing here (although it almost got hot yesterday).

Mashed potatoes would sit like a rock in your stomach during the humid summer heat here. But we all love them come autumn and all winter long. Yum.

We are experiencing Autumn weather here as well, at least in the morning. By afternoon it is short-sleeve weather again and I'm good with that because soon it will be freezing cold winter here and you will still be warm in your sweatshirt and adorable footy pajamas!!! Bless the Great Autumn Equalizer.
